Rebel Health Alliance Welcomes Zach Bilbrey as Head of Human Performance Optimization

Rebel Health Alliance is delighted to announce the appointment of Zach Bilbrey as the new Head of Human Performance Optimization. With an impressive background in program design and coaching, Zach brings a wealth of expertise to lead Rebel Health Alliance’s mission of optimizing human performance.

Zach Bilbrey has been a key contributor to the Air Force Special Warfare Human Performance team for the past seven years, focusing on the Guardian Angel community. His experience includes working with a diverse range of athletes, including competitive and everyday CrossFit athletes, military special operations personnel, professional and collegiate athletes, and youth.

Zach graduated with a BS in Exercise Science and a Masters of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Hardin-Simmons University, where he played football and began his coaching career. Over time, Zach’s passion for coaching evolved to encompass more than just sets and reps. He is committed to helping his athletes identify their “why” to maintain motivation when it is needed most.

With a strong desire for continuous learning, Zach holds several certifications, including Strength and Conditioning Specialist & Tactical S&C Facilitator from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, OPEX Certified Coach, CrossFit Level 1 & 2, USA Weightlifting Level 1, and ONNIT Kettlebell, Battle Rope, and Durability.

Throughout his career, Zach has held significant leadership positions, including Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for various Air Force squadrons, where he established and managed Human Performance Optimization programs. His focus on optimizing physical, mental, and nutritional aspects of performance has led to remarkable results and improvements in the performance of the athletes he has coached.

In addition to his professional achievements, Zach is an accomplished CrossFit athlete, having qualified for the CrossFit Regionals in 2015 and 2016, as well as competing in the CrossFit Games in 2016.
